Introduction

In this blog, we’ll explain the two core methods for securing our Maxxus cattle yard range to the ground.

How do you secure them to the ground?

Answer: either A) our 500mm Ground Spikes or B) Concrete Screws

9 times out of 10, MAXXUS yards go on a gravel type pad or just grass, in which case our 500mm Ground Spikes are the answer.

If you do opt for a concrete pad for your MAXXUS yard, then concrete screws are the way to go.

Let’s focus on our 500mm Ground Spikes.

They’re 500mm long, and they’re ribbed, making sure that when they’re driven into the ground, they lock your panels and gates into place.

We go over and above compared to the rest by using 4 x Ground Spikes per panel or gate. Some would call it overkill, and it probably is, but you’re guaranteed a stable outcome!

Each panel has a ‘footing’ at either end with x2 holes, so 4 holes total.

These footings provide not only anchor points for the Ground Spike, but also increased stability for your MAXXUS panels and also gates.

You’ll need a sledge hammer to get all of these in place, and we recommend doing your stretches before and after!
